What is rumun?
Rajshahi University Model United Nations (RUMUN) is more than just a conference—it’s an experience that shapes ideas, builds confidence, and creates lasting connections. Organized every year by the Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA), RUMUN brings together students from all over Bangladesh who share a passion for debating, problem-solving, and making their voices heard on global issues.
At RUMUN, delegates step into the shoes of world leaders and diplomats, representing different countries to discuss challenges that matter—peace, development, human rights, climate change, and more. It’s a space where young people learn not only to speak, but also to listen, negotiate, and find common ground, just like in the real United Nations.
What makes RUMUN special is the journey it creates for every participant. From the excitement of committee sessions to the friendships formed beyond debate halls, the conference offers an environment that is both intellectually stimulating and personally rewarding. Delegates leave with stronger skills in public speaking, teamwork, leadership, and diplomacy, but also with memories and connections that often last a lifetime.
Over the years, RUMUN has grown into one of Bangladesh’s most respected MUN conferences, but at its heart, it remains a community—a gathering of curious, driven, and inspiring young minds who believe in the power of dialogue and cooperation. Whether you are new to MUN or a seasoned delegate, RUMUN welcomes you to be part of a tradition that celebrates ideas, diversity, and the spirit of change.
